Atari cartridges can use two 2532 eproms which is a 2732 with two chip enable leads. the Atari uses (not ce) for both of them. The reason 2532 were used is because you can use a different eprom which uses the second chip enable leads as a12, which gives you a total of 16k instead of 8k for the cartridge. I think Motorola MCM68a764 eprom is the one to use for a 16k cartridge. ihlpb!bryan Bryan Delaney BTL Naperville, ILL

I think that there is more difference between the 2732 and 2532 than the chip enable business. The 2732 is a +5v only whereas isn't the 2532 a triple voltage (+5, +12/-12?) part? Also I believe the new Defender cartridge is a 16K cartridge. There are 14 lines to the edge connector rather than the standard 13, and the chips say 9364 on them among the other custom Atari numbers, suggesting they're 8K bytes each. There is also a second bypass cap on the board. It's a great cartridge, for those who haven't seen it, but it's extremely difficult to last more than 10 minutes. Anyway, aside from EPROMs, does anyone know what the ROMs are in the 400/800 cartridges? I'd like to read them.
