Has anyone else had problems with the assembler routines at the back of the Atari Assembler Editor cartridge's manual? They claim that you can write out an object file from the assembler and then read that into memory with the Basic cartridge using CLOAD! Sorry guys, that doesn't work. I've been able to read in the raw binary from cassette that the assembler cartridge puts out, and not only is it not in the format expected by CLOAD, but it isn't in boot file format either! Only the assembler cartridge can read it back in. I'm hacking a program that can read in the object from Basic. Anyone have any similar experience? I can give the object file format to anyone interested. Of course I'm referring only to cassette-based operation.
