My Atari 800 has a strange, and seemingly transient, problem. Sometimes (nearly always) the TV screen suddenly becomes filled with interference--a screen-wide stripe of fuzzy- looking stuff which makes the display under the stripe hard to read. The condition usually becomes progressively worse, but I can stop it temporarily by opening/closing the cartridge compartment door a few times (booting the system repeatedly). This is a very disturbing problem, but happily it is the only one that I have had with my system. Does someone out there know what is going on? -- Mark Young Bell Telephone Laboratories Naperville, Il
