Something which may help here is a "translator disk" that Atari is offering for the XL series, which is nothing more than the 400/800 Revision A and B operating systems on disk. Using this disk is (according to Atari) supposed to let you run old software which needs a certain version of the OS. No, I haven't seen it anywhere or know how much it costs, but I have seen it mentioned in both the "Atari Connection" magazine and in the Jersey Atari Computer Group (JACG) newsletter. According to "Antic", the translator disk is free of charge from Atari. I guess Atari felt it was the least they could do. Give Atari a call, I'm sure they will help you. Corinna Owens AT&T Bell Labs cbosgd!cbscc!co

[] I just got the March issue of "Antic". There is an ad for the TRANSLATOR from Atari. It says that it makes the XL series of computers compatible with 'almost' all existing software. It is available in either disk or cassette format directly from Atari for $9.95. cheers... Kit Kimes AT&T Consumer Products Montgomery Works Aurora, Il. 60507 ..!ihnp4!we13!mgweed!kek
