A few months ago I bought the ATARI Communicator II package for my ATARI 1200XL. The catalogs I had been reading spec'ed the 835 modem as 300/1200 baud. Only after hooking it up did I discover that it works at 1200 baud only if connect an additional 1200 baud modem to it!!! Other 300 baud modems for ATARI connect to the 850 interface, the 835, however, connects to the ATARI peripheral daisy chain. The TELE-LINK II software prevents operation of DOS, so one can't use it to upload or download files to or from disc!!!!! HELP!!! Does anyone out there in net-land know of software that works with the 835? Hopefully it would run under DOS and be in a source code form so it could be 'hacked' to taste.
