While picking up my Commodore color monitor last week, the dealer told me that Commodore has been having reliability problems. He said that Commodore has a 20% return rate for their 64 versus Atari at about 5%. He also said the return rate for the coleco adam was 80% and that he no longer will sell it. These numbers weren't just for his store, but for sales nationwide.
