Antic is endevoring to keep alive the best of the APX software (see comments below). This program was written by Jim Skinner of AT&T, Information Systems in Orlando, Fl. (are you on the net Jim?) 22 INCOME TAX SPREADSHEET If you have Synapse's SynCalc, you can use this program to take over the unpleasant duty of preparing your annual income tax return. 26 DRUM SYNTH/BASS SYNTH This is the most realistic Atari musical instrument simulation that ANTIC said they had ever heard. It includes a tutorial on how to use the AUDCTL memory address. 31 CURRENCY CHANGER Exchange international money like a seasoned traveler. BASIC program runs on all Atari computers. 33 BEAT THE BEEPS If you're one of those people who gets irritated by the keyclicks on the Atari 400 and 800, this BASIC program turns off the sound without hardware modifications. 35 SOFTWARE LIBRARY All the program listings are contained in the center of the magazine. 56 KOOKY'S QUEST (Game of the Month) A windowed scrolling maze adventure where you fight monsters while searching for the magic key that's your only escape from a multi-level dungeon. BASIC, 32K disk. 59 COMMUNICATIONS: 200+ Atari BBS List The biggest and most accurate list of Atari bulletin boards in North America. 63 ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE: S.A.M. Handler Owners of S.A.M. can use this program to define the voice synthesizer as an I/O device--much like a printer. This allows you to program S.A.M. commands with less typing. BASIC. Need S.A.M. and a disk drive. 66 EDUCATION: Music Flash Cards A drill program that helps students learn the names of notes on the musical staff. BASIC. All Atari computers. 68 THE TOOLBOX: Parallel Bus Revealed This is part 2 of a 4 part series on the XL's parallel bus. 72 JACK TRAMIEL DECLARES WAR!
