[net.micro.atari] INDUS GT for sale

iannucci@sjuvax.UUCP (iannucci) (02/09/85)

[]
                 I have an Indus GT disk drive for sale. It is about
8 months old and in perfect condition. I did use it, but not much.
I am selling the entire system, actually, and I've already sold the
computer (one of the later 48k 800's). I am including with the drive
20 disks worth of software. Some of the titles:

             DOS XL (OS/A+) and an improved Atari DOS(2.6f)
             Indus Word Processor
             Indus Data Base Manager  {they come w/the drive}
             Atariwriter
             Microsoft BASIC
             BASIC A+
             MAC/65 Assembler
             InterLisP/65
             Diskey/Disk Wizard
             Koala Graphics System {cracked for joystick use}
             Planetfall & The Witness  {Infocom}
             Lots more graphic games & misc. other stuff

         Take note that all of the software except the Indus stuff is
undocumented (you know how it is :-). I am asking $300 and will pay to
ship it if necessary, etc. Please respond by net mail only.

I don't want to comment on the implied content of the above
message. But, lets try to keep postings to a public forum such
as this above board. I apologize if I misunderstood the
statement.

             Maybe you did misunderstand! Either that or I am missing something
here. My implication was that most of the software I have is pirated. I was
not aware that to mention software pirating in public was a no-no. I still don't
think it is. Is that what you inferred?

          Thank you Brian, for pointing out where the misunderstanding was. I
had not thought to mention that I am not in fact *selling* the software, but
giving it away. The payment would be for the drive and the disks that the
software is on. I can understand that you (anybody) would be disturbed by
the idea of selling what one has gotten for free. I certainly would be too.
That would be a pretty low level for anyone to sink to, and I'm glad that I'm
able to clear the air here. I apologize to those who were (or still are)
offended.
- thanks
