[net.micro.atari] Taking orders for Atari ST series

A friend of mine just gave me a copy of a catalog for 'Computer Palace',
2160 W. 11th ave, Eugene, OR 97402, that includes information and pricing
for the Atari ST line. While disk drives and monitors are not mentioned,
the 130ST is listed at $399, and the 520ST at $599. I gave them a call,
and they are presently taking orders, with delivery to them expected at
the end of this month. They indicated that some people now have them,
and that users groups get first crack. They also indicated that their
backorder level was getting high, and that it would be wise for anyone
who wants one to get their order in soon.

In addition, it was stated that Logo is built in, and Basic is extra in a
80k cartrige.

You can reach their order desk at 1-800-452-8013

I suggest that you should not throw caution to the wind and get on the "backlog
bandwagon".

Every new model line has its problems in meeting production schedules and specs.Don't get caught forking up good money for an as yet untried and undelivered
product. Why give your hard earned money to a mail order firm that can't give
you a firm shipping date? Bank your money so you earn the interest instead of
someone else.

Wait a little while, think about your purchase then wait one more week before
you write out that check.
