The attached message was sent recently to ArpaNet's INFO-ATARI@Score. -------------------------------- I recently found out that there is an Atari version of RUNOFF. RUNOFF is a text formatter for large formal documents, producing table of contents, etc. It runs on DEC computers - those of you who have used it might want to check this out. The Atari version is upward compatible. It includes selection of output format including numbered sections, bullets, alphabetic outline, and slides. Slides take advantage of Atari's color capabilities. The 100 page manual explains (among other things) how to make 35mm slides by photographing your screen. For a while, OSS was promoting Atari RUNOFF as "The PRINT Tool", but dropped it in favor of some other product. The author is Marshall Abrams@mitre.arpa. If anyone wants more details, I can forward your request to him. Dan (...rochester!ritcv!rocksvax!johne or parcvax!rocksvax!johne)
