I'm thinking about turning in the 'ole 400 and its Inhome keyboard for a shiny, new and compatible?? Atari 130XE computer. I have some questions: 1. Does the 130XE OS have the same problems with some third party software that the 800XL has? Is the translation disk still necessary? Are there programs that won't even work with the translation disk? 2. Is the built in Basic the same as the 800XL's? How does 130XE's Basic compare with the 400/800 cartridge Basic? Is it upward compatible? 3. Does anyone have any comments on the rear mounted cartridge slot (ease/pain of use, etc.)? 4. Are there any other significant hardware/software differences/ incompatiblities between the 130XE and the old 400/800 systems? 5. Is the keyboard on the 130XE better/worse that the 800XL? 6. Does Atariwriter know about the extra RAM in the 130XE? How about ACTION! or other popular non-game software? Thanks in advance! druxu!tlz _ Terry L. Zrust (_) /~\ A.T.&T.
