According to the CompuClub newsletter, MMP should start shipping their 1200-baud [actually 1200 bps] modem by mid-summer. It will list for $199. The Plato (now called The Learning Phone) cartridge should be available by now. It was supposed to ship by May 15. What a great combination this would be. CompuClub now have their own bulletin board that costs nothing but the phone call and supports both 300 and 1200 modems. You don't have to be a member to use it.
