The ATARI user groups are finally getting ST's as a member of one of these groups rejoices on CompuServe: Sb: The ST's are HERE! Fm: Frank Nagle 70505,577 To: Jack P. Durre' 75046,476 Just thought I'd let you know that the ST's are out! As Tim said, we on the West Coast just went over to Atari and picked them up! Wasn't quite as easy as that! Had a little wait (2 hrs) and a little mixup, and then finally the systems. As a matter of fact, the mixup continues, seems we got machines without software! Will be going back tomorrow to get the final pieces. I stopped by late tonight at Atari, caught Neil Harris in, and got him to make a copy of TOS/GEM so I could type this in on the VT52 emulator right now! Yes, I am using the ST, and it's a *** FANTASTIC *** machine! Have the Monochrome monitor, and the resolution is absolutely great. 80 columns and EXTREMELY READABLE. No more eyestrain! As for shipments elsewhere in the country, have no definite info from anyone at ATARI. Supposedly they were planning to ship either yesterday (Monday the 8th) or today (Tuesday the 9th), but I can't confirm that. Hope you get yours soon! Frank
