It appears that the Atari ST double sided drives (holding 720K bytes, formatted) have just become available to local dealers. Has anyone used them? Does the ST refer to each side as a different disk ID? /Don Peters, Digital, 617-689-1242/ ...decvax!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-pulman!peters

One catch though is that disks formatted double-sided cannot be read by a single sided drive. -- Dave Burris ..!ihnp4!ihopa!riccb!djb Rockwell Switching Systems, Downers Grove, Il.

I've had a DS drive for 3 weeks (as a pallative, while waiting for the #$%#$% hard disk). No, the sides are not referred to as seperate entities. The only glitch I've noticed is that SS disks can't be copied onto DS disks using the desktop copy thing. No other surprises I've encountered.
