[net.micro.atari] 520ST keyboard kludge. Fixes?

It seems to me that a major disadvantage of the ST is that the CPU
is in the keyboard, resulting in a myriad of cables plugged into your
keyboard.

A local user's group person hinted that it is easy to buy a keyboard and
plug it in so that you can have a detached keyboard. Anyone on the net
have any info on this?

The 520ST keyboard has its own processor that sends scan codes on a serial
link to the main processor. So I'd imagine that if you took the current
system apart and repackaged it you could get a detachable keyboard.
