I resently obtained a copy of the Hippo-C compiler (no floating point!!) and experienced an error message at the linker phase that I don't understand. I compiled one of the programs that came with the Hippo-C using the -S switch on the link to get an A.PRG file. Once the linker gets going it comes up with the message, "unknow segment", three times. It then begins printing all the library function names on the screen in the format, "redefinition of library_module". And it continues to do this until I reboot. Is it something I said, or is this a bug in the compiler/linker? Another infrequent occurance that has occurred to myself, and to others I know who have the ST, is that after some usage of the TOS disk, it begins to bring up the machine intermittently, where at times three strange little symbols pop-up on the left hand side of the display, and then the machine dies. Does anyone have an idea as to what this means? Is it a bug in the ROMs which will be remedied by the next release of the ROMs? Any information would be greatly appreciated... ted@inmet
