I was looking at the 520ST the other day in a store, and trying to find out
about software for it. My main needs would be for a text editor and a
telecommunications and terminal emulation package. For the latter, I was
pointed to PC Intercomm, which sells for $124.95. There was a guy there who
had been using it for a while and recommended it highly (he didn't work for
the store), and he said it "included" Kermit.
First question: can I get just Kermit for the 520ST (i.e., public domain,
from a users' group or something)?
Second question, for those who have used PC Intercomm: What does it have
beyond the Kermit protocol? Assuming Kermit is or soon will be available
for free, why spend $125 for PC Intercomm?
