1) Pull down 2) Pop up 3) Drop down 4) None of the above 5) All of the above *** MEANWHILE *** Regardless of which of the above terms applies to which menus (Max vs. GEM) I believe the specific difference is that the mac menus appear when the mouse button is clicked while the pointer is pointing to the menu name, whereas the GEM menus fall out whenever the pointer crosses the name, without waiting for a click (this feature, which DRI was hoping would make it different enough from the mac scheme, has been the subject of some grumbling by people who lose the menus by pointing off the bottoms of them.... It's like working w/ a tightly rolled scroll that disappears when you remove your hand from the bottom.....but falls open at the touch of a finger...) -Richard Hartman max.hartman@ames-vmsb NOTE: I have not worked w/ the GEM interface at all, and only a little w/ the mac.
