As a poor (read that any way U like) British subject I have to interface
with Dig. Res. about ST problems.
Their British support arm stinks. They really need a good shot of deoderant.
There was a joke in a Unix mag about unix support staff who could not destinguish
an I-node from a tree-toad. That is these guys through and through.
To the point. Have any of U over there with a developers kit got any better
support than I have? If so who is Ur contact and what does it cost?
I have found the C compiler to have numerous code-generation bugs (try
struct {char x,y} z;
...
if ((--z.x)<'9') {
and U get real crappy code (BCD operations actually). Does any stateside
good-guy have a bug list for this compiler ? Should we start one ? Am I the
only person using DR C ? [ I have a list of about 10 different code generation
funnies if anyone wants them]
