When I saw an Atari 1030 modem operating recently, I realized that my bigest objection to AMODEM was the lack of word wrap. The 1030, like AtariWriter and other word processors, does not merely wrap around from one line to the next in the middle of a word, but rather backs up to the nearest preceed space which is converted to a CR. I usually use VT10SQ as my terminal program, but have to switch to AMODEM for FTP. I considered working on AMODEM to provide word wrap, but decided that since the terminal-handling code is assembly language encoded in character strings that was too difficult for me. I would be interested in exchanging ideas with anyone else interested in this problem. I would be most interested in hearing from anyone who has a terminal emulator with word wrap and FTP.
