First off, i am in *no* way connected with the OSS company and i am just posting this because there is a general interest in new Atari 520ST software....(etc).... Two pieces of software are being released by OSS in late December: PASCAL -(with extensions into GEM and otherwise) "...strings, ...debugging options, special code optimizer and easy to use GEM support. It includes "compiler, linker, libraries, editor," Suggested retail will be $89.95. (Not feeling well today, and staying home with little else to do ...) i called OSS...the person that answered seemed knowledgeable and appeared to have a good feel for the C products out. (I forgot to ask about floating point libraries, if someone else finds out...pleez post) He mentioned that the compiler was now written in Pascal (itself) and that the GEM support would "blow the doors off of the competition." This reference was meant i think to convince me that they are taking pains to provide better (or less cryptic) graphics functions. (libraries) additionally OSS is releasing a GEMDOS(TOS) DiskKit to examine, repair, and modify TOS diskettes. ------ ahhh....finally the real reason i called...OSS has announced that they will release Prolog in March of '86 (they have or are announcing availability of a Prolog for the Macintosh...this will be a port of the Mac software).
