Several people have asked me where in Cambridge one can get the Atari 520ST. Well, the address and telephone numbers is: MetroServe Computer Company 312 Broadway Ave., Cambridge 491-0908 When I first called them a few weeks ago they quoted a price of 'roughly $650' on the 520ST. I just called them again, and now (?) the price is $700 on the monochrome system, and $900 on the colour system. If you want ds instead of ss drives, that is $50 extra. There is no further student discount, because 'these prices are special sales prices', they say. They don't have any ST's in stock, they say they sell them as they come in, and there is a waiting list of about 2 weeks. Needless to say, I'm not in any way connected with MetroServe Computer Company, other than having called them twice. I've neither seen their sales offices nor bought anything from them. So if you find out anything about that company, let me know. Except for the Lechemere store in Cambridge, which only sells the colour version (expensive!), this seems to be the only place in Cambridge that sells ST's. Thomas. PS: I would, of course, still be very much interested in any place that sells the ST for less than $700, even by mail order. Someone on the network quoted that he got it for $600. Was that a special deal with the university?
