<*****> Pardon me if this sounds silly, but why is everyone making such a hullabaloo about the price of the unbundled ST? The only advantage that I can garner from reading the articles on the net of buying the ST from Kmart etc. is that their version has an RF modulator (I am assuming that the monitor output circuitry is still inside there). The prices for a complete system appear to be almost identical. Personally, I would LOVE to have a 520ST with 2 DSDD drives, a monochrome monitor (my poor tired eyes fell in love with it within the first 30 screen retraces) and an RF modulator so that when I wanted to play rather than work I could throw it on my TV and play nifty games in color - I certainly wouldn't attempt to use either the ST or the Amiga in color mode for any work of any duration, they both seem to drive my eyes crazy. 'tis a shame that Atari decided to add the RF modulator, I had already ordered parts for building one for a friend - beat to the punch again. If the ST console ends up selling for $199 and disk drives for $99 (like they were originally proposed to) then I will jump for joy over Mr. T's decision. I am tired of seeing little blue boxes and little blue box clones everywhere. Any time anyone wants to discuss the hardware internals in any way shape or form I'd be glad to see them on the net. Waiting to graduate so I can afford to buy one ($1150 for basic monochrome system here in Canada) David J. Callele University of Saskatchewan Saskatoon,Saskatchewan Canada
