I am trying to establish a Quick and Reilly account (through QUICKWAY) on Compuserve using HomeTerm (part of Home-Pak) and an Atari 800XL. Customer service at Quick and Reilly tells me the reason I cannot use my new account is probably that HomeTerm sends a line feed along with every CR. Has anyone done this sucessfully with HomeTerm? Does anyone know how to turn off the line feed if that is what is really happening? Has anyone used a Quick and Reilly account on Compuserve using HomeTerm? Note: everything else on Compuserve works fine. Any information would be appreciated. My frustration level is rising. Thanks, -Brenda

There is a solution, Russ Wetmore (Homepak's author) wrote a Hometerm customizer. You can get it off of DL2 in SIG Atari - 8 bit (I'm pretty sure) on Compuserve. This program lets you get rid of the unneeded linefeed and tweak several other variables. There's good documentation for it too. If you have trouble finding the program, Russ spends a lot of time on compuserve and is always helpfull, or ask any of the Sysops. Good Luck! -- Ray Roux {ucbvax|decvax}!trwrb!trwspp!spp3!rroux
