OK. I -might- accept the preposition that a $400 price tag will make many people -view- the ST as a toy computer. But the price has nothing to do with actual performance. Unfortunately in cases like these it is what people think that counts more than the facts. The Amiga is (at least I am not afraid to say it) a better computer that the ST. Just not enough to make up for the price difference. Also, the software for each machine will probably maintain the hi/lo cost split. My main concern is that by (even apparently, although not actually) lowering the price on the ST, Tramiel is making the same misteak that the 'old' Atari did.....give people the opportunity to see a machine function as a toy and they will see it -ONLY- as a toy. Enough of this. Does anyone have any interesting Action! programs (for the 'older' computers) that they would be willing to post? Does the person who posted "Harvey" a little bit ago realize that it does not work quite right (my version at least....& I downloaded it twice to make certain it wasn't a transfer error...the second time was with JPs KERMIT in Action!.)? -Richard Hartman max.hartman@ames-vmsb ------
