Note that the toy store version must have been modified for 60-Hz frame rate to ensure satisfactory operation with NTSC televisions. This means that it probably will also come with a monitor jack that will work with standard monitors, whereas the Real Computer Store model will only drive an Atari 70-Hz monitor!!!! All ST's can use 60-Hz color monitors. The color monitor from ATARI is one. Only the monochrome monitor is 70 Hz. That way the interlaced refresh is done quickly enough to hide the first scan fade (causes flicker). --johnathan a. tainter proud owner of an ST purchased to use only as a terminal to my other 68K system. a policy now being revised.

Yeah -- but can the toy store model ALSO drive the 70-Hz monitors? I wanna know that before I buy anything! mike k
