Request:

I am interested in purchasing a 520ST or 1020ST (if they are available
in the not tooooo distant future) while I am visiting the US. To date I
am still, however, debating whether it will be with a monochrome or
colour monitor, but whichever way I decide to go I can forsee problems.
At the end of my stay I will be returning to Australia and have to plug
into the local 240 VAC 60 Hz supply. I can easily use a step-up
transformer for the CPU-keyboard and Disk , only one more transformer to
add to the rats nest under the computer table. What has me worried
though is the question of whether the monitor uses line frequency for
the screen generation for either of these types of monitor.

Since I will be passing through Europe on the way back from the US I could
of course buy a machine over there for PAL/240 VAC/60 Hz system. Is there
any information available on prices in Europe for these machines?. I
would be interested to hear from anyone who could help me.

Thanks in advance for any assistance. N.M. Burman burman@brl.arpa

As there are three of four requests by mail and now a request here on
the net, I now will post the list prices here in Germany for the ST-series:

520ST+ (1MB), SM124 (Monitor monochrome), SF354 (Floppy 360KB) : DM 2998,--

260ST (512KB) : DM 1298,--

SM124 (Monitor monchrome) : DM 598,--

SC1224 (Monitor color) : DM 1298,--

SF354 (Floppy 360KB) : DM 598,--

SF314 (Floppy 720KB) : DM 798,--

Mouse : DM 148,--

All prices include all taxes, so if you buy in Germany a 520ST and then you
take it with home (this means you export it), you can subtract 14% an all
prices. Further: 1 US$ ~ DM 2,50.
