It is impossible. We here at Ames have a main DECNET (VMS & some RSX), and a few scattered UNIX systems. They are working on the networking problems between DECNET & Usenet, but so far no go. BUT....I am CURRENTLY writing to you from a VMS machine! I do NOT get to a Usenet node, but am forwarding through the ARPANET (thus get really frustrated at all this mention of nifty stuff in net.sources......). If Atari can get a TAC access, or establish one of their VAXen as an ARPANET node, then they could participate in these discussions more directly. ARPANET was recently split into MILNET and another one (I forget the name...), They would be able to connect into the other one. I would suggest someone from Atari contacting one of the Universities which is represented on the ARPANET, and finding out more about this possibility. -Richard Hartman max.hartman@ames-vmsb ------
