The INSIGHT ATARI column in COMPUTE! magazine a couple of months back was talking about the SIO & CIO functions & how to use them. This i included a little CONFIG program in basic to check the format of disks, a small change would enable you to change the format of the disks. Caveat: The disks marked by Atari do NOT follow the standard started by (I think) Percom. If you have any other drive, it should work. -------------------- The program posted in article 1608 is consistent with Wilkinson's discussion in COMPUTE magazine, except 1608 uses Action, COMPUTE uses BASIC. Note MODULE DENSITY in article 1608. If article 1608 is NOT what it is on my system here, then article numbers can be inconsistent -I would like to know that if it's true. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruce Langdon L-472 langdon%lll-lcc@lll-crg.ARPA Physics Department "langdon#bruce%d"@lll-mfe.ARPA Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Livermore, CA 94550 (415) 422-5444 UUCP: ..{gymble,ihnp4,seismo}!lll-crg!lll-lcc!langdon
