I bought a 520ST on January 4, 1986 and it promptly self-destructed within a few weeks (Power supply went bad, putting out excess voltage, thus destroying keyboard). The machine was returned to the dealer on January 16th who promptly sent it to the distributor who in turn supposedly (?) sent it to the service center. Well, it is now March 1, 1986 and I have not seen my 520 since January 16th. Repeated calls to the distributor are always answered with "You'll have it next week". I do not want to name the parties involved at this time because there may be a good excuse for the delay (even though I don't know what that excuse could possibly be). What I do want to do is let the net know that service on an ATARI 520 can be a headache!! Has anyone else had such an experience and can you recommend how I can get my 520 back?
