Hackers' Convention final announcement:
The first annual UN*X hackers' convention bash will be held rain or shine
in Peekskill, New York on Saturday, September 10 from noon onward.
The purpose of this gathering is to have a good time and to meet fellow
hackers. The location is semi-rural "country" one hour north of
Manhattan. There is a small natural lake for swimming and a playing field.
If you want to share in a barbecue dinner, the cost will be about $5.
Bring frisbees, softball eqpt, swimsuit, towel, musical instruments,
etc. Friends and non-hackers permitted, but they should be warned
to expect the worst. Talk it up among your hacker buddies.
Also bring ideas for humorous awards, skits, food, etc...
R.S.V.P: Reservations REQUIRED no later than September 5 (uucp) or Sep.
9 (telephone). Please be sure to include names of yourself and guests,
your uucp and U.S. Mail address and telephone number. I will send out
directions and last minute info as soon as I get your reservation.
Indicate if you need or can offer a ride and I will try to arrange carpools.
Also specify if you need floor space to stay over Sat. nite, and whether
you wish to share in food (what meals?).
