Well, people so far have mentioned: 1812 (perhaps one of the more sonorous loud pieces of music in existance) Tocatta and Fugue in Dm Various other organ pieces. People haven't mentioned: Bagpipe music in general Chieftans music Leo Rowsome Piping (good pipe music) Gagaku etc.. I happen to think that noisy neighbors who have hangovers the next morning should have to listen to three different versions of "Scotland the Brave", "Scots what hae'", and "Heighland Harry" followed by a half hour of Chieftans music turned up LOUD. (Don't get me wrong, I LIKE that music. It's just that most people who have hangovers can't take it...) Once upon a time, I invited the rest of the apartment neighbors to the local diner for breakfast. As I left, I turned on the tape and turned up the volume AND LOCKED THE DOOR, since the hung-overs probably didn't have much sense of property, either. I must admit that I should have, at the end of the tape, included the Paul Simon piece "One Man's Ceiling Is Another Man's Floor" just to make sure the lesson was understood. I didn't think of it the time. -- TEDDY BEARS UNITE! SAVE YOUR FUR TODAY! "Gravity causes the stars to shine, tropisms make the ..." (ihnp4;allegra;research)!alice!jj
