Golly! Wow! I guess Bro Jed ain't heard about STDs yet. Or he'd know that NOTHIN' is goin' on down in the DARKROOM - between two people at least. But most of all how in the world did he get it right about South Africa?? I know. I'll bet when he went there he didn't talk to Bro Tutu or kiss Missy Mandella and cheer for 'necklaces'. Bet he actually missed the foreign press corp handouts and talked to some of the 'natives' and heard them say, 'Please don't institute sanctions. Why do you want to hurt US??" (The answer is of course, 'we're goin' to put you out of work and make you starve in order to save you from the best working conditions and best standard of living in ALL of Africa and give you the right to be oppressed by BLACKS - like in all the other African countries - instead of by, ugh, WHITES!' And doing THAT is more important than ANYTHING else that might come about with it - like another communist country in the world for which we don't have to care about how THEY treat THEIR citizens or OUR economy if we are ever cut off from the minerals found only in South Africa and the good ole USSR.) But he must really be funny on campus. Imagine someone not a 'leftist' speaking out on an American campus! Where's the local 'freedom of speach' goon squad while he's speaking??? I mean if Jean Kirkpactrick and Sec. Schultz aren't allowed to speak, how come THIS guy get's away with it??? I'd think the fa-culty would be wetting their pants over him. Orrrr . . . . Is Bro Jed a 'leftist' plot to make anyone with 'religious' values look bad, or is he just a 'house nut'? Are there any similar travelin' road shows from the left around???? And if there are how would you tell them from the real thing? Keep chargin' Ken Arndt

I'm cross-posting this so that ANYONE who posts a follow-up will see it, and maybe think a little, and change the distribution list (just append a ".d" to net.jokes, okay). Praise the Lord, Zippy

>But most of all how in the world did he get it right about South Africa?? >[text justifying slavery in South Africa deleted] Yea, right. You sound like an old southern plantation owner, "Them darkies got it good right here. I feed'em, give'em clothes, a place to live and I only beat'em once a week. Besides, if they wasn't slaves they'd starve. Everybody knows them people is too dumb to live on their own." You also make a good point about needing stategic metals for our military/ industrial complex. If they couldn't force those people to work the mines hundreds of miles from their homes and families, we might run out of jets. Your tirade is an example of Christianity at its darkest. >Keep chargin' Kill a commie for Christ, >Ken Arndt Faron Wickey {allegra, ihnp4, uiucdcs, ctvax}!convex!wickey
