Well they finally came out with their polls last night. Here they are: AP 1. Nebraska 2. Oklahoma 3. Texas 4. Penn State 5. Auburn 6. Notre Dame 7. Florida State 8. Southern Cal 9. Ohio State 10. Michigan 11. North Carolina 12. LSU 13. Alabama 14. Arizona 15. Georgia 16. Iowa 17. Maryland 18. Washington 19. SMU 20. UCLA other recieving votes were: Air force, Arizona State, Arkansas, Boston Coll., BYU, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Houston, Illinios, Miami(Fla), Mississippi, Missouri, Navy, New Mexico,Houston, Illinios, Miami(Fla), Mississippi, Missouri, Navy, New Mexico, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Pitt, Purdue, So. Carolina, So. Mississipi Tennesseen Texas A&M, Vandy, W. Virginia. UPI 1. Nebraska 2. Texas 3. Auburn 4. Penn State 5. Oklahoma 6. Ohio State 7. Florida State 8. Notre Dame 9. Michigan 10. LSU North Carolina(tie) 12. UCLA 13. Georgia 14. Alabama 15. Pitt 16. Washington 17. SMU 18. ASU 19. Miami (Fla) 20. Iowa Maryland(tie) Looking at this all I can say is the poll is favorable to Washington. Since I am a Husky fan, I see that they play LSU, Michigan, Navy, ASU, UCLA, Arizona and USC. Now if they do well against such competition they should be up there. Well, there we see 'Bama still in the top 20, I guess they think Perkins will do well. Notre Dame seems to be back in there after a few bad years. So much for PSU being #1, Neraska deserves it as we will see later on this week. Whats Pitt doing at #15?? Georgia is still in there!!! Overall I guess the polls are satisfactory. Note Tennessee only getting a few votes in the AP and thats it. So much for Sport Magazines' prediction. Pradeep

Does someone on the net have access to the bottom 20 polls? Coming from a strong contender for that end of the spectrum (Rice U.), I'd like to see the name of my alma mater once in awhile.
