1. In going for the two-point conversion, Osborne regained some of the class he lost after rolling up the score on some other teams. 1a. Auburn for #1 - check the strength of schedule. 2. (Day after NFC championship game) If the Niners had had Clark, I don't know if they would have won - would Clark have done what Wilson did? On the other hand, would it have taken so long for their offense to score? 2a. So much for the vaunted Redskins. Couldn't even hang on to a 21-point lead, and had to drive for a winning FIELD GOAL (with all those pigs, why couldn't they score a touchdown? :-). 2b. I understand the D.C. press was even cockier, with the attitude that the Niners shouldn't even bother to show up. Having lived in the area, I can see many of the people there being like that (cockiness directly proportional to prominence?). Here's humble pie in your face...and silver and black nightmares for the rest of the year...
