I would rather watch a curling match than watch the USFL. It's
almost like watching the American League play baseball. There is
nothing better than watching National League baseball. Look how
many players from the National League can't cut it any more and go
over to the American League.

Anyway, back to USFL. It is a money-making scheme that won't last
5 years. Just like now I see they are going to take another shot
at pro women's basketball. There are some great women players,
but they just can't compete with the NBA's stranglehold on
basketball.

Now you've done it! Keep insulting us curlers and we'll show you what we can
do with our brooms :-)!!!

[Sorry for any duplicate posting; I apparently fouled it up locally.]

I note that the *Football News*, a weekly during regular football season,
has published only one issue during the USFL season, and that is really
their NFL draft predictions issue, *not* a USFL issue.

I am disappointed to see that *Football News* appears to be determined
to help the NFL shoot down the USFL any way they can.
Ironic, considering FN's "irresponsible journalism" accusations
directed against *Sports Illustrated* and ABC News in the past.
One would think that the USFL and a football enthusiasts' weekly
would have overlapping audiences that would like to see decent coverage,
even though the USFL is an inferior pro league. Still beats baseball.
Far better, it would seem, to adopt a "wait and see" attitude,
except that the *Football News* people also publish something called
*Basketball Weekly*. Hmmm. Is there any month in the year in which
there is not an NBA game being played ? July, maybe ?

Actually, I have enjoyed some of the Tampa Bay Bandits games (mostly on ESPN).
I don't know why the Tampa Bay Bucs don't try to grab John Reaves
for the upcoming season, especially now that his past drug problems
seem to be behind him.
