QB Tim Cowan threw 4 TD passes to wide receiver Mervyn Fernandez to pace the Lions. Edmonton 29 Montreal 26 Edmonton rushed for 277 yards, 105 by QB Matt Dunigan, in their win over the Montreal Concordes. Dunigan has set a single season quarterback rushing record with 732 yards. Calgary 28 Toronto 24 Calgary defensive end Walter Ballard picked off a pass and returned it 31 yards with 3:04 left in the game to break a 21-21 tie. For Toronto, Terry Greer caught 9 passes for 138 yards, surpassing the 1000-yard mark for the third year in a row. Hamilton 31 Saskatchewan 8 Hamilton's defense completely shut down Saskatchewan's short passing offense, picking off 6 passes.
