[] CFL Update for October 20-21, 1984 2nd Last Week of the Season Winnipeg 30 Edmonton 11 Winnipeg running back Willard Reaves rushed 19 times for 115 yards, his eighth consecutive 100-yard game and his tenth of the season, both tying CFL records. QB Tom Clements threw 2 TD passes to wide receiver James Murphy, rushed for one, and handed off to Reaves for the fourth. B.C. 41 Calgary 13 Mervyn Fernandez caught 10 passes for 182 yards and 3 TDs to lead the Lions. He now has 17 TD receptions, tying a CFL record. Second-string QB Tim Cowan, starting for injured Roy Dewalt, was 26 of 37 for 374 yards. Toronto 17 Montreal 14 Toronto's running back Lester Brown ran for two TDs, and Montreal QB Turner Gill ran for one in a defensive struggle. Montreal rookie Dwaine Wilson rushed 17 times for 71 yards to become the second player in the CFL to gain more than 1000 yards this season. Hamilton 20 Ottawa 14 Hamilton came back from a 14-11 deficit in the 2nd half on Bernie Ruoff's three field goals. He had 4 for the day. Ottawa's loss eliminated them from the play-offs.
