Anybody from the NY/NJ area know what the NY Times computer rankings have to say about BYU. As I understand it, their ranking scheme takes things into account like schedule, opponents record, etc. If you could tell us how BYU fares on the NYT list, this will add to the discussion immensely. gene foster ihu1m!ewf

Someone wanted to know the New York Times' computer rankings of college teams. Wayne Citrin saw fit to put an exclamation (surprise) on the NYT's ranking of Rutgers at 19. It really is not a much of a surprise at all, considering: (1) Rutgers went 7-3, (2) Rutgers had a tough schedule, and (3) Rutgers beat two bowl bound teams (West Virginia and Army). David Rubin
