What I want to know is, what bad call?? And how could one call cost
us a game with a score like that??

I'm about as orange-blooded as they come, and it broke my heart to lose
to the Aggies (along with losing to *burp* Houston and *ug* Baylor)
after beating or tying really GOOD teams like OU and Auburn (our win over
Penn St. isn't as impressive in December as it was in September, sorry Joe).

Be that as it may, we got the sh*t kicked out of us by the Aggies. For
the first time all season we didn't beat ourselves. We played a reasonably
decent game and got killed. The Aggies looked good that night, there's no
taking that away from them. Jackie has UT to thank for his job. He could
go 1-10 every year, but as long as that one was against T.U. (sic) the
A&M faithful would be happy. (Personally, I'm afraid of Jim Wacker. I knew
this was going to happen for TCU when Wacker left Southwest Texas State
in San Marcos and went up to Ft. Worth.)

I'm not always a good loser, and I STILL believe our team has more
talent than most of you think. I see things about the UH, OU, and Baylor
games that show me we could have won all three of them on a better day
instead of 2 loses and a tie. But, the A&M game is the one game in the
last two seasons that I can say definitely, absolutely, positively, that
the best team won. It just shows me how close all these teams in the
Southwest Conference are (at least the front runners SMU, UH, TCU, UT).
It's real funny, I remember when SMU and UH lost their second games.
Traditionally, any team with 2 loses in conference was out since the
champ never had more than 1 loss. This year SMU and UH came out of
nowhere and ended up tying for the conference championship with 2 loses
each (after being couted out back in Oct/Nov) and the year-long
front runners (UT and TCU) tied for 3rd with 3 losses (TCU kinda self-
destructed there at the end, too). They may not say 2 losses and you're
out anymore.

By the way, for Aggie fans and those who don't believe they are really
any good and that the UT game was a fluke... A&M is the ONLY SWC team
to beat both Texas and TCU this season, and they did it in consecutive
weekends!

*NOT* an Aggie fan, but (grudgingly) willing to admit when "they done good."
