Well, you'll have to send me, too. I'm a Packer backer from the time I first watched football. (Well, I was about six, and I liked the color of their uniforms better than the other team's. What can I say? Is that a basis for choosing who to root for or what?) As usual, the Packers aren't in it this year, and though I have grudging respect for the Bears, I am afraid they probably won't get too far this year-- they had an outbreak of injuritis at the worst possible time. At least the Packers have one thing going for them-- they are the only publicly owned franchise in the NFL, and I think the only major sports franchise (baseball, football, basketball, hockey) that is so. Unless someone buys out all the stockholders, the Packers aren't going anywhere. (Alright, poor choice of words-- stop snickering.) At least I'm true to my team (I was probably the only one in the stadium rooting for them when the Packers came to play the Lambs... uh, Rams a few years ago. It was 44-7 at the half, but the Packers put on a dramatic second half rally that fell just short, 51-24); it really annoys me when everybody jumps on the bandwagon of whoever's winning. So, anyway, let's hear it for the Packers!!! One year (real soon now) the PACK will be BACK!!! Mark Modig ihnp4!attunix!mom
