jeff@dciem.UUCP (Jeff Richardson) (12/24/84)
Here are the Richardson rankings after the wild-card games. I was thinking
of counting the playoff games double, but then I thought that if I did that,
I'd have to count some of the week 16 games double too because a lot of teams
were in do-or-die situations then too. Then I'd have to decide which regular
season games were or weren't important, and that's the kind of arbitrary
decision I was trying to avoid when I made up this rating system. If you
disagree with me, send me mail and I'll show you what it would look like with
playoff games counted double.
The Giants and Rams are the only ones whose rankings have changed since last
week, so I've listed only the top 11. (Pittsburgh is 14th.)
