[net.sport.football] Field Goal after a fair catch

sgm@rayssd.UUCP (12/24/84)

To answer the question about kicking a field goal after a fair catch:

The ball is placed on the spot where the fair catch was made. The ball
must be held -- no kicking tee. The defense can line up no closer than
ten yards to the line of scrimmage. The place-kicker then can attempt
the kick.
