Un-f**g-believable! The Donkeys blew away the Seagulls. It's hard to believe that it's Monday night already and I haven't read a single article about that game. We must be having a problem getting news! But, I'm sure the Broncos still haven't convinced the skeptics yet. We'll have to blow away the 49ers in the Super Bowl by at least 4 touchdowns, or else everyone will still say, "the Broncos are lucky". Right, Larry? Speaking of lucky, do you believe the last two minutes of the Dallas- Miami game? A typical Cowboy play, that tipped pass to Tony Hill. It would have to be either that or a 50-yard pass interference call. That's the way Landry bribes the refs and/or opposing players! :-) :-) :-) As a Bronco fan and Cowboy hater, that game was a no-lose situation for me. It will be very enjoyable not to have to listen to revoltingly pro-Dallas CBS announcers do Dallas playoff games. We'll just have to suffer with revoltingly anti-Bronco NBC announcers instead. Obviously I'm prejudiced, but I really think all the CBS announcers like Dallas. They are even more pro-Cowboys than Don Meredith, who at least has an excuse. Of course, if the Cowboys had won, then the inevitable Miami-Denver AFC championship game would have been played in Denver instead of Miami (as Frank Gifford felt obligated to point out at least 50 times tonight). I still think it's amazing that the Cowboys have won so many games over the years when I've been rooting against them, and the only two times I ever rooted *for* them, they lost (tonight, and a year or two ago when they played the Raiders). True, the Monday night game was unbeleivable......from the standpoint that the Cowboys stayed so close! Now it gets better though. Your damned lucky Broncos have to go to Miami and face Marino. Game will be close, but it will be back to the cold for the Broncs. Now as far as the Niners are concerned....Bring on the Bears! Although I'd love to see the Giants stomp the Rams. Forget the Broncos...and you better hope the silver and black attack doesn't get their act together. -- Kip Quackenbush pthya!kdq {ihnp4,ucbvax,cbosgd,decwrl,amd,fortune,zehntel}!dual!pthya!kdq Pacific Bell, Hayward, California

That's right, it is an UNBEELEEVABLE article. 1. Re: Tipped pass - "...A typical Cowboy play ..." . Well in making that claim, you must surely have a satellite dish just to pick up all Dallas games. If you hate The Cowboys so much then why do you watch them so much? However, since Dallas has been so successful over the past 20 years, viewing many Cowboy games is understandable since they are the most televised team in the NFL. Any logical person would know - as the # of exposures is increased, the frequency of a certain event also increases. Other teams have also had this type of "typical play" in their history. To name a few: - Green Bay's kicker scoring a game winning TD after his FG attempt was blocked right back at him v.s. Chicago. - Pittsburgh's immacculat reception. - Oakland's follies of fumbling into the endzone for TD's. - Baltimore's illegally tipped TD pass in their Super Bowl game v.s. Dallas. - not to mention a few choice "plays" for Denver in '84. 2. Re: pro-Dallas CBS announcers - John Madden and Pat Summerall must live with Redskin players, judging by their comments during games. 3. Re: Dallas v.s. San Diego-East game - "..that's the way Landry bribes refs ...". Yea, that's why two key 3rd down penalties were called on Dallas. And each revived drive resulted in 1st half TD's. - Roughing the Passer? COME ON, Marino gets roughed up more when he is SACKED by his fiancee'. Pass Interference? COME ON, the receiver wasn't touched at all. It even led Gifford (probably the most neutral announcer around) to say that the call basically stunk. It kinda reminds me of the P.I. call against Dallas in one of the Super Bowl games v.s. Pittsburgh. 4. Denver v.s. San Diego-East - Denver was blown away by Chicago, who, even at that time had a mediocre offense. Wait until Miami fires-up Marino, Duper and Clayton. AND with the windy conditions at the Orange Bowl, say a long prayer for Rich Karlis.

Yeah, and no one thought they could beat the Seagulls in the Kingdome either.... > Forget the Broncos...and you better hope the silver and black > attack doesn't get their act together. On the contrary, I hope they *do*! It could save us that trip to Miami, and we'd just *love* another chance to trounce the Raiders for the *third* time this year in front of a partisan crowd of Broncomaniacs! --Greg "Broncomaniac" Woods P.S.
