[net.sport.football] Super Bowl Fever!

Well, I wasn't too far off with my predictions of the Dolphins by 17
(right on target) and the 49ers by 7 (off by 16).

I knew the SF-Chicago game would be defensive but I had no idea the Bears
offense would be so inept. The 49ers really contained them, and scored enough
points on their own.

Once Marino got rolling in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the Miami-Pittsburgh
game, there was NO stopping him. When he is hot, there is none better who
can put points on the board as fast as Marino can. During a span of 3 minutes
18 seconds between the 2nd and 3rd quarters, he threw for 3 TD's! There
is only one word to describe him, INCREDIBLE.

The Super Bowl looks to be a great matchup between 2 talented teams with
superb coaches. It will be a true test of the Dolphins high-powered offense
(The Marino Corps) and the 49ers touted defense. Something has to crack, and
I think it will be the 49ers' defense. There is no such thing as "stopping"
Marino, as no team has done it this year. Everything in the book has been
thrown at him this year, and nothing has worked. Look for him to throw his
customary 3+ TD passes and the Dolphins to score in excess of 35 points.
I don't think the 49ers will score that many.

The bet I placed in Vegas on the Dolphins winning the Super Bowl at 2 to 1
odds is looking better and better. (The 49ers were 13 to 10 at the beginning
of the playoffs). GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DOLPHINS!
