I just *love* PBM games! How about a sports game? I know of an English soccer game called 'United' in which you draft players (fictional, I think) and play games. Using wargame terminology, it is more strategic than tactical. I feel that it wouldn't be too hard to make up one of these types of game for a sport that is closer to home. On a similar note, we could play a form of Rotisserie baseball *very* easily. I just wonder why no one thought about it during the baseball season. Maybe we can get something going for Football along the same lines? Hmm ... good idea, Carlo. The nice thing about something like this is that you don't have to worry about players buying the game (if you make up the game yourself and post the rules, that is) and you can have an indefinite number of players. I challenge myself and anyone else to try to develop a 'rotisserie'-type game to play this winter on net.games.pbm. Anyone want to give it a shot? I'm going to do some thinking about it ... --- Carlo Sgro ...![ihnp4||decvax||allegra||clyde||utcsri||utzoo]!watmath!watcgl!electro!carlo (I'm at electro only until the end of the month.) ...!ihnp4!chinet!dagwood Soon to become ...![above biggies]!watmath!watrose!cjsgro (around mid-September) Computer Graphics Division Electrohome Canada Kitchener, Ontario Disclaimer: I wish that Electrohome was in the business of designing games but they're not so I guess that I don't have to tell you that the above statement doesn't reflect the opinion of this company for which I'll be working for the next week, after which I'll be going back to school and then I'll have to write disclaimers about the University.
