George had is best week yet last week. He picked 18 winners out of 26 games. He lost 3 games out right and 5 to his spread. For the season, he picked 27 winners, 11 losers, and 11 spread losers. That's 54% which hopefully will improve as the season goes on. Here is George's record on point spreads. 31 out of 50 came within 9 points of the spread. Points 0-4 5-9 10-14 15-19 20-up Total Week 3 8 10 3 2 4 27 Season 12 19 7 5 7 50 Here is George's Top Twenty or so for week number four. Once again Air Force moved up several notches because of their trouncing of Wyoming, 49-7. Other interesting games that saw some movement were: Miami whipping Rice by 28 which made them crack the top 20, Northwestern moved up (but didn't crack the elite group) by surprising Missouri, 27-23 (Missouri was favored by 11). Florida dropped a couple of points by allowing Rutgers to come back and tie them. Finally BYU moved up higher in the top twenty by overwhelming the Huskies of Washington, 31-3. I've been out fighting a mild case of strep throat and this is the first chance I have to post this. Once again George is going on the limb for this week's games. For this week we include the most exciting conference of them all. I'm talking about the bastion of football powerhouses, where the scores sometimes end up being 6.02 * 10^23 to 12 * 3.14159. That's right - It's the Ivy League!!! (My apologies to all the Ivy-leaguers out. Flames to /dev/null, please). So here they are: Baylor at Southern Cal Southern Cal by 8 Boston College at Pittsburgh Pittsburgh by 7 Brown University at Yale University Yale University by 6 Brigham Young at Temple Brigham Young by 5 Colorado State at Louisiana State Louisiana State by 15 Cornell at Pennsylvania Pennsylvania by 6 Georgia at Clemson Clemson by 6 Illinois at Nebraska Nebraska by 5 Memphis State at Florida State Florida State by 12 Michigan at South Carolina South Carolina by 1 Michigan State at Notre Dame Notre Dame by 3 Missouri at Texas Texas by 6 Navy at Indiana Indiana by 3 North Carolina State at Wake Forest Wake Forest by 5 Ohio State at Colorado Ohio State by 3 Princeton University at Dartmouth College Dartmouth College by 1 Rice at Air Force Air Force by 19 Rutgers at Army Army by 2 San Diego State at UCLA UCLA by 7 Stanford at Oregon Oregon by 5 Texas Christian at Kansas State Texas Christian by 1 Tulane at Kentucky Kentucky by 9 Vanderbilt at Iowa State Iowa State by 9 Virginia at Georgia Tech Georgia Tech by 7 Washington at Houston Houston by 8 Washington State at Utah Utah by 3 West Virginia at Maryland Maryland by 7 There you have it. What do you all think of all this and about the race to the National championship. I think it's funny that Oklahoma has kept it's number one rating in so many of the polls and has not played a game yet. Their first one is on the 28th. Who do you think deserves the number one ranking? Let's hear from you. Until next week, we hope your teams all win this week. George P. Air Force??!! I hope this doesn't mean that if Air Force slips by BYU
pummels the rest of its easy schedule that we'll have to endure another
WACky choice for #1 this year.
