I, for one, would like to know how all those computer pick programs auto- matically puts everybody 4-0 or 3-0 or whatever against the AFC Central. Houston showed that they do have something in them by beating Miami last week. Cincinatti was almost a playoff team (and alot of people think that they will make the playoffs, see the NFL Picks articles). Pittsburgh is finally out of their rookie plagued last season and is showing their might (so they played the Dolts, 45 points is 45 points.) The only team with no chance this year is, as always, Cleaverland. They are this years Buffalo. RCR-vc155ah!unmc!unmvax

Boy am I glad Monday Night Football get's all the coverage it does! Show's what some people know about teams they haven't heard anything about. The Browns one-on-one style of coverage worked real well against LIPPS and STALLWORTH! Remember, last years #2 overall rated defense (yes, the Browns!) may just be this years #1 defense! Just watch our linebackers! And remember, while our offensive line may not have looked great, they are all young players. Give them a while, and then stand back. And next year there is Kosar! (Yes, NEXT year. Marty doesn't plan to ruin Kosar by pushing him. And Kosar doesn't mind! He WANTS to play here. Forever!) Now if we just had some wide outs.... AFC Central? You must all know by now, it's the BROWNS! P.S. Beating the Colts this year, no matter how bad, means NOTHING.

In fact, I thought the Browns looked pretty tough...the score could've been worse. The Browns have a helluva set of linebackers and a monster-sized, but inexperienced offensive line. Good smart quarterback in Danielson. They'll cause problems for any team, especially the teams thinking that they have an easy win with Cleveland on their schedule. Mike Clifford

My strong impression of that game was not so much the Browns' coverage of Lipps and Stallworth as it was that Malone had an AWFUL game. He usually had good pass protection and often had open receivers, but his passes were too often off-target, resulting in incomplete passes. Not that I minded. This Raider fan is always happy to see the Steelers drop a game. (And to think that I spent seven years in Pittsburgh listening to Myron Cope. If you think Howard Cosell is abnoxious ...)
