[net.sport.football] Results, NFL Week 4

Dang! I blew it again! Once again (for the fourth straight week), I lost the
Monday Night Football game. I picked the Steelers 31:24, and I lost. That
gave me a total of 10:4 for the week. Not bad, but I've got to shake this
Monday night curse of mine.

On to better news:

College: Once again, for the second straight week, I was 9:0 in Big Ten
picks. Next week gets interestng, as the Big Ten intraplay season begins
Saturday. To up my choices from merely five games a week, Top Ten games will
also be a target.
Speakingg of the top ten, I caught the AP tabulation yesterday. They
have very good taste, as they placed Iowa on top. I never could figure why
Auburn was ranked so high, and guess they finally convinced the pollsters that
they didn't deserve it. I honestly expected Oklahoma to fall farther than it
did, due to their rather pathetic performance on Saturday (they barely beat
a non-ranked team!). Oh, well, that can't be helped. At least Ohio State and
Michigan are ggaining due recognition. Go Big Ten! (Sorry. Couldn't contain
myself).

Chicago:	Once again they Chicago Bears prove their strength. Oh sure,
they started off slow on Sunday, but they do that alot. They usually take a
quarter to really get going. People (outside of Chicago) seem to criticize
them for it, but I'm puzzled. Dallas was the same in their "America's Team"
days; usually waiting until the second HALF to really get going. They were
the perennial 'come from behind' team (kind of like America was back then).
Nobaody complained about Dallas, so why don't they shut up about Chicago.
Chicago and the Rams are once again the only unbeaten teams (for the
second week). However, I think that is going to change. I am picking the
vastly-improved Minnesota Vikings to beat the LA Rams next week. I feel
that the game will be an offensive battle, and I just don't think Brock is
up to it. That will leave only Chicago unbeaten after five weeks, but that
will the threatened the following week. Oh, well, I'll just hope for the
best.
