CORRECTION: The teams mentioned before with the worst scoring offenses are in either I-A or I-AA. Someone pointed out that the Southern and Ohio Valley divisions are I-AA conferences. My mistake. (Actually I think the USA TODAY ought to label them as I-AA conferences.) Since I-AA is included, I must also throw into the list NORTHEASTERN, a I-AA independant with an 0-5 record, 55 points for, and 112 points against. Here's the rest of the list again: Division Team PF PA Record ----------------------------------------------- Southern Davidson 35 241 0-7 Mid-American W. Michigan 43 154 0-5-1 IVY League Columbia 43 174 0-5 IVY League Cornell 46 90 0-5 IVY League Dartmouth 59 121 0-5 Ohio Valley Tenn. Tech 60 177 0-6 Mid-Eastern Morgan St. 60 213 0-6 Big Eight Kansas St. 61 151 0-6 I'll bet the other leagues are all I-AA, too. Except for the big eight of course. And the Mid-American conference, too, if the USA TODAY is correct when they say Bowling Green is in I-A. One interesting note: S. Illinois and Illinois St. are listed as being in both the Missouri Valley and the Gateway conferences. I guess that is one way to have a better shot at winning a conference title!
